Goal-Setting
What is it about men that women just can't seem to understand? The path to enlightenment is to know and accept that men and women are not the same, and then embrace these differences.
The best-selling book "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" is proof enough that there are these differences, but why won't people accept this?
My wife works in a leather shop selling leather furniture. She cannot understand men's fascination with recliners. Nor big screen TVs either.
Is this another example of the extension of one's manhood - bigger is better?

"in your face" TV with it's high definition colour and picture. Then again, I can't understand her obsession with getting a BMW.
Perhaps it's just the personality differences in us, not the fact that we are a woman and a man.
My goals are not specific - to own a Porsche for example (although ever since I can remember, I've wanted a 911 Turbo, white, black or silver thank you) - but rather to be the best at what I do, to provide excellent service, and to be a success in business which translates into a successful person where the financial rewards afford me the opportunity of overseas travel (ever since I spent a year in Europe in my early 20s I've had the travel bug) and to do and buy what I like.
That was a long sentence . . .

I suppose focusing on buying the BMW is a very good thing, it provides a reason to work hard and reap the benefits of that effort, and because it is specific, it becomes a consuming goal.
But back to that recliner! What's wrong with watching rugby, in a very comfortable chair, with a large TV screen?
Until next time... Cheers!
